***This is a Peace Officer Position . To be eligible, you must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Department of Human Resources AND either be currently eligible or eligible for reinstatement as a PC 830.2, California State Peace Officer.

STATE PARK PEACE OFFICER SUPERVISOR RANGER/ LIMITED TERM / ORANGE COAST DISTRICT/SOUTH SECTOR/ SAN CLEMENTE STATE BEACH
The reporting location for this position is San Clemente State Beach. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Peace Officer Supervisor II (Lifeguard).
The California State Parks Visitor Services Program at the Orange Coast District - South Sector is seeking a candidate for a 12 month Limited Term State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger) position at San Clemente State Beach. **This is a 12 month Limited - Term position with the possibility of becoming permanent.** The position will be responsible for supervising Sector-wide operations. Orange Coast District - South Sector consist of 4 busy campgrounds, 3 aquatic operations, and several busy day use areas. The position is responsible for directly supervising the State Park Peace Officer, Visitor Services Park Aid, and Seasonal Lifeguard staff. Proper supervision coverage at Orange Coast District - South Sector is a most critical need in order to insure public and employee safety and maximum revenue generation for the District and the Department. For the purposes of Recruitment and Retention, the Orange Coast District - South Sector will consider strong candidates from the State Park Peace Officer Supervisor I (Lifeguard) clas sificatio n.
