Job Title: Utility Operator
Job Description
This role involves learning to operate equipment associated with extrusion or tube mill processes and handling aluminum products. Candidates will start as Utility employees and will be trained to operate, support, and move materials using lifting techniques and hoists. The position requires working in a union environment and adhering to its terms, especially in relation to shift flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Learn to operate extrusion or tube mill equipment.
- Support tube mill operations on a separate shift from the extrusion department.
- Ensure all quality objectives are met and report any unusual conditions to lead operators or supervisors.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
- Adhere to union guidelines for shift movement and flexibility.
- Perform tasks including machine operation, quality checks, packing, and inspection.
Essential Skills
- General labor and production support experience.
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing processes and machine operation.
- Ability to work with hand tools and perform quality control.
- Experience with forklifts and material handling.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.31 - $20.31/hr.
