Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Unit in Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour
$500 sign-on bonus after 6 months of employment, plus an additional $500 retention bonus after 12 months, pending eligibility requirements.

- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access permissions and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Support order at the location by following post instructions, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with security-related inquiries and directional guidance for employees and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
