Pay Rate: $41-$51 hourly
Job Description:
The Senior Facility Assessor role will contribute in facility condition assessments, building systems, and project coordination while working directly with clients and team members. They will help evaluate buildings, document findings, and prepare reports that support repair, maintenance, and upgrade planning.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Assessment: Conduct facility inspections, including interior, exterior, and building systems, while following safety protocols and standard practices.
Documentation: Record findings with photos, sketches, and notes using tablets and cameras; provide clear justifications for condition determinations.
Blueprint Review: Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to identify layouts, systems, and areas of concern.
Reporting: Assist in drafting reports, compiling data, and recommending repairs, maintenance, or upgrades.
Systems Knowledge: Apply expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and other systems to assess condition, functionality, and potential defects.
Fieldwork: Perform on-site tasks requiring climbing, walking long distances, and working in varied environments while maintaining strict safety compliance.
Client Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients to clarify requirements and provide feedback as needed.
Learning: Stay current on building technologies, materials, and assessment methods through training and professional development.
Coordination: Support senior assessors in managing timelines and collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications Required:
Experience: 7+ years of relevant work experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering, or related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar), Microsoft Office, and strong computer literacy.
Industry Knowledge: Background in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Building Science, with strong understanding of building systems.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to clearly interpret and present information.
Analytical Ability: Strong process and data interpretation skills for effective decision-making.
Organization: Skilled in time management, prioritization, and meeting strict deadlines under pressure.
