Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Junior Software Engineer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain software applications that support government operations. You will gain hands-on experience with .NET technologies while contributing to mission-critical projects in a secure, collaborative environment. Clearance Requirement
This position requires an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one. Candidates must be able to meet federal background investigation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of software applications using .NET framework and related technologies
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing software systems under the direction of senior team members
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality and technical skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, testers, and project managers to deliver software solutions on schedule
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and technical issues in development and production environments
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation including design specifications and user guides
- Learn and apply secure coding practices to ensure applications meet government security requirements
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Stay current with emerging .NET technologies and development methodologies through continuous learning

Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of professional software development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in .NET framework and C# programming
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Knowledge of web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

Certifications / Licensure:

- Application Architect certification
- Developer Associate certification

Required Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience developing applications for government or highly regulated environments
- Familiarity with ASP.NET, MVC, or .NET Core frameworks
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification or compliance with DoD 8570 requirements at the CEH level
- Previous experience working on federal contracts or with government clients

Additional Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation for Secret clearance
- Willingness to work on-site at Tesla Headquarter as required
- Availability to work overtime when project demands require
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive government information
