Robbins Maritime, Inc. is a leading tug and barge company, established in 1986 and headquartered in Norfolk, VA. We specialize in providing reliable and efficient maritime support services along the East Coast and Gulf Coast of the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Work schedule is 28 days on and 14 days off
• Paid travel to and from the vessel
• Crew safety, vessel safety and Environmental protection
• Maintenance and repair of all vessel machinery and equipment and vessel structure in engineering spaces.
• Notification to the Captain and Port Captain of all deficiencies and problems requiring attention.
• Assisting Deckhand with line handling and educating the deckhand on engineering
• Filling out and submitting the Weekly Vessel Condition Report and Requisition form and maintaining an up-to-date engine room log.
• Oily waste management.
• Firefighting and Security duties.
• Loading of vessel food stores and meal preparation (lunch)
• Assisting the Captain in any of his/her responsibilities as needed or requested.
• Assisting in the overall cleanliness of the entire vessel

Requirements

• Merchant Mariners Credentials
• Valid Driver License
• Valid TWIC Card
• Must be able to pass Merchant Mariner Physical/CG-719K and Drug Screening
• Must have a Satisfactory Background Check
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of working on a vessel
• Subject to Random Drug Screening
