Software Engineer - Python / AWS (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

North Point Technology is hiring a mission-focused Cloud DevOps Engineer to build, integrate, and harden software supporting NGA’s GEOINT mission.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will develop, integrate, debug, and maintain software artifacts in Python in support of NGA’s GEOINT mission. You will write validation tests against existing baselines to protect code integrity during Agile development, support unit testing and software quality efforts, and work across cloud and service-oriented environments including web services and related technologies. You will also use GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and resource management, package and run applications with Docker, and collaborate with engineering teams using Jira and Confluence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree


• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI


• Strong Python development experience


• Experience with software development or software integration in cloud, SOA, or web-services environments


• Experience with GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines


• Experience with Docker


• Experience with web technologies and protocols such as web servers, and SSL


• Familiarity with AWS and cloud technologies


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting NGA


• Strong AWS/cloud experience


• AWS or Python certification
