We are seeking a motivated, hospitality-driven Part-Time Assistant Tasting Room Manager to help lead our tasting room operations, support staff, and ensure every guest receives a first-class experience.

Position Summary

The Assistant Tasting Room Manager works alongside the Tasting Room Manager to oversee daily operations, support staff performance, drive wine sales and club memberships, and deliver exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for someone with hospitality, restaurant, winery, brewery, or retail management experience who enjoys working directly with guests and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily tasting room operations
• Lead by example in providing exceptional guest experiences
• Support and coach Wine Educators and Support Staff
• Promote and sell wine, wine club memberships, and events
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Ensure tasting room cleanliness and presentation standards
• Handle guest concerns professionally and effectively
• Assist with inventory management and restocking
• Support private events, club events, and special winery functions
• Operate Commerce7 POS system accurately
• Assist with staff training and development
• Ensure compliance with all Virginia ABC regulations

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality, restaurant, winery, brewery, retail, or customer service leadership experience preferred
• Wine knowledge preferred but not required
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Schedule

• Part-Time
• Primarily Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability required
• Additional event and holiday availability preferred
• Approximately 20–30 hours per week
