About KidsWatch Pediatrics
KidsWatch Pediatrics is expanding its pediatric services to include child, adolescent and family behavioral-health care. We are seeking an independently licensed LCSW or LPC to help establish this new service line.
The initial schedule will include one fixed in-person afternoon or evening block, with the opportunity to provide additional virtual appointments. Hours may increase as the caseload develops.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral-health intakes and diagnostic assessments.
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents.
- Provide family therapy, parent guidance and evidence-based parent coaching.
- Treat anxiety, depression, ADHD-related concerns, emotional-regulation difficulties, school stress and behavioral concerns.
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
- Use appropriate standardized screening and symptom-monitoring tools.
- Conduct suicide, self-harm and safety-risk assessments when indicated.
- Follow mandated-reporting and emergency-escalation procedures.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Coordinate care with KidsWatch pediatricians and outside providers when authorized.
- Follow payer authorization, medical-necessity and documentation requirements.
- Provide telehealth services in accordance with Virginia requirements and practice policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted and independent Virginia LCSW or LPC license.
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling or a related behavioral-health field.
- At least two years of experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
- Experience treating anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges and behavioral concerns.
- Experience with safety assessment and crisis procedures.
- Type 1 NPI and current CAQH profile, or willingness to establish and maintain them.
- Willingness to complete payer credentialing and enrollment through KidsWatch Pediatrics.
- Professional liability coverage as required by the practice.
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly afternoon or evening schedule.
- Comfortable providing both in-person and virtual care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Outpatient pediatric or integrated-primary-care experience.
- Training in CBT, parent-management training, play-based interventions or family therapy.
- Experience supporting children with autism or developmental differences.
- Bilingual skills.

Licensure Requirement:
Only independently licensed LCSWs and LPCs will be considered for this initial position. Residents, supervisees and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible at this time.
Hiring and Credentialing Process
The hiring and credentialing process will begin immediately. The active patient-care start date is contingent upon license verification, background screening, references, completed payer credentialing and written confirmation of applicable payer effective dates.
