Thermoforming Operator – Full-Time | Growing Manufacturing Team

• Set up, operate, and monitor thermoforming machines to shape plastic sheets for signage components
• Adjust temperature, pressure, and cycle times to ensure consistent forming results
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and proper specifications
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
• Troubleshoot common machine issues and communicate concerns to leadership
• Maintain accurate production records and report defects or material issues

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and machinery
• Experience in thermoforming, injection molding, or general machine operation
• Familiarity with plastic finishing techniques (sanding, trimming, polishing, buffing)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic troubleshooting skills and understanding of hydraulics
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep up with production pace

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0–3 years of experience in thermoforming, plastics, or manufacturing
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 lbs
• Comfortable working in a warm, noisy manufacturing environment
• Preferred: 1–2 years of thermoforming or plastic fabrication experience, especially in sign manufacturing

This role is based in a non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing facility .

Schedule includes Monday–Saturday with mandatory Saturday overtime.

• Mon–Thurs: 5:00 PM – 4:30 AM (two paid 15‑minute breaks + one 30‑minute unpaid lunch)
• Fri: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (one paid 15‑minute break + one 30‑minute unpaid lunch)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Virginia Beach,VA.
