Reports To: Sales & Marketing Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Outside Dealer Sales Representative based in Central Virginia to join our team, specializing in selling building materials—specifically masonry and hardscape products—to dealers. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the construction industry and a proven ability to build long-term relationships, drive sales, and grow territory revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with masonry and hardscape dealers.
- Identify and pursue new dealer opportunities within the residential/commercial construction and masonry/hardscapes market.
- Provide product knowledge and support to customers, including block, brick, manufactured stone veneer, natural stone, mortar, and related accessories .
- Conduct on-site visits to dealer yards, construction sites and customer offices.
- Create and deliver professional sales presentations and product demos tailored to customer needs. Maintain product displays and marketing materials.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., logistics, procurement, and customer service) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote company products and brand awareness.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales , preferably in masonry, building materials, or residential/commercial construction .
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals in a B2B environment.
- Knowledge of masonry and hardscape products such as block, brick, manufactured stone, natural stone, pavers, retaining walls and mortar is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes , materials, and terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and mobile tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
Preferred:
- Existing network of contacts within the masonry or residential construction industry .
- Knowledge of regional building codes and standards.
- Experience working with distribution channels and supply chains .
