Job Description:

The OT Innovation Manager will be responsible for receiving, preparing and developing the recently acquired technology for the new manufacturing site in Virginia. Will review the efficiency of the new equipment and develop and benchmark innovative processes to improve efficiency.

  • Incremental Innovation Leadership – Proven capability to define, prioritize, and complete structured, stepwise OT innovation programs that improve reliability, OEE, and product consistency without redefining ongoing production.

  • Advanced Root Cause & Systems-Level Analysis – Deep expertise in analyzing complex electro-mechanical and control systems to identify chronic losses, hidden inefficiencies, and systemic bottlenecks; capable of translating operational data into actionable, high-impact improvement initiatives.

  • Strong proficiency in applying industrial data analytics, condition monitoring, and performance metrics to develop predictive and preventive strategies that reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset efficiency.

  • Provides technical guidance for automation and IT architecture for development and design of automation/software for equipment in collaboration with suppliers and mechanical designers.

  • Ensures modularity and robustness for automation and mechatronics related technology for next generation of production equipment.

  • Support collaboration development of multi-functional team.

  • Actively engage stakeholders during and post the ramp up phase of new automation equipment.

Operational Technology is a key player for bringing the LEGO bricks in hands of the kids. Join us in making innovative automation solutions under the Industry 4.0 umbrella. In this position you will play an important role in the incremental innovation automation part of highly automated manufacturing equipment for packing lines for our new factory in Virginia. You will be working with enhancements and optimizing new machinery primarily from a technical controls software point of view. We need you to bring your expertise in Automation and programming preferably with knowledge from multiple suppliers. We are starting up a new factory and hands-on automation experience is key for success in this role.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Hands-on experience with mechatronics applications and automation system programming.

  • Experience with Allen Bradley and/or B&R PLC system installation, development, design, troubleshooting, and PLC programming.

  • Hands on experience in robotics in manufacturing.

  • Proven experience with innovating processes, implementing and benchmarking.

  • Experience with packaging is preferred.

Additional:

  • This is a position will work 5 days a week onsite.

  • Must have the ability to travel globally 20-50 days a year.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $104,327.00 - $156,491.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
