Job Overview:
The Designer I position is responsible for organizing and maintaining documents associated with design, engineering, and construction within the Power Generation Sector. This role focuses on Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Mechanical Engineering disciplines and requires proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation software. The candidate will work closely with other designers, engineers, and power station personnel to perform CAD drafting tasks and manage various design-related documents.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain drawings, prints, diagrams, and PDF documents.
• Perform CAD drafting tasks in collaboration with designers, engineers, and power station personnel.
• Compile and organize submittal drawings and documents from third-party vendors and consultants.
• Locate, modify, and manipulate CAD files to print drawings using small and large format plotters.
• Focus on Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Mechanical Engineering disciplines.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, or mechanical drafting principles.
• Basic knowledge of structural and mechanical design/construction principles.
• Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills with the ability to process detailed information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation software.
• Ability to process and understand complex diagrams and process flow drawings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Additional experience in organizing and maintaining engineering documents.
• Experience with large-scale projects in the Power Generation Sector.

Preferred Years of Experience:

• Drafter I: 1-3 years of basic experience.
• Drafter II: 4-5 years of experience.

Education:

• Minimum: High School Graduate.
• Preferred: Associate degree.

Pay Range: $35 - $40/hr. W2
