Location: Leesburg, VA
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care and daily living support while promoting the comfort, dignity, and independence of patients in a home or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and personal hygiene.
Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Observe and report changes in patient condition, document care provided, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and family members.
Provide compassionate companionship while following established care plans, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or in a similar patient care role preferred.
Knowledge of personal care techniques, infection control, patient safety, communication, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Ability to assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living while demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Experience with electronic documentation and home health or long-term care settings preferred.
