About the role You will work as part of a small test team supporting multiple software applications in varying stages of deployment. What you'll do Know modern automated testing methodologies and technologies. Responsible for manual testing when the coding of an automated solution is impractical or not desirable Maybe required to work with the application developers to support performance/load testing to fully evaluate the application capabilities. Qualifications Used SQL queries for data validation (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL) Expert in Selenium WebDriverEmphasized experience in the area of writing automated code (Java) as opposed to simply click and record Must be able to evaluate developer assignments, independently understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate best path scenario as well as probe for possible failure conditions Must know to use an IDE to code (ex – IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans) Interactive in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, vi) Expert in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios Demonstrated history with manual and automated test processes Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment Ensure the QA and testing approach references all known vulnerabilities and best practices Conduct and report testing using a repeatable process based on industry best practices Maintain and update the test environment Development skills, as automated testing is a lot of writing code.Solid hands-on experience testing experience with testing tools such as JMeter and /or Selenium. Highly Desired Skills Tested complex systems with external integration points Knowledge of unit test frameworks such as Junit and Postman Must work well in a group environment and collaborate with team members Familiarity with Source code management and integration (ex - GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins) Experience in an Agile environment
