Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance related to production and engineering operations. Included is troubleshooting and repair of equipment associated with all gas manifolds and the associated facility equipment.
Job Description
- Installation and/or modification of chemical processing equipment as well as the repair and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment associated with all chemical processing equipment and other facility equipment
- Assist in promoting safety and organization in the maintenance department
- Continues review and updating of Work Instructions and recommended preventative maintenance intervals based on repair data
- Responsible for the execution of the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Monitoring and Measuring Devices Program
- Specialize in Engineering improvement construction projects, ensuring that projects have a well-defined scope and schedule which has been reviewed by all affected parties
- Recommend spare parts inventory levels
- Write Purchase Requisitions for needed parts
- Perform all component rebuilds and calibrations
- Understand and follow the process flow within chemical processing equipment
- Understand and perform valid leak checks
- Follow all work instructions and safety protocol
- Organize and sort information using available computer software
- Actively participate on emergency response (ER) team and ER entry team
- Successfully complete all assigned training
Skills Required
- 3+ years Industrial Maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or an industry related to fluid systems
- Gas (Pressure) system component theory and operation
- Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
- General Maintenance skills
- Tube bending skills
- Able to read and construct from a P&ID or Engineering drawing
- Able to lift 50lbs. and climb ladders
- Effective communication skills
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test to wear a full-face respirator as required
- Ability to wear a full-face tight-fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated (Level A) ER suit, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), or any other tight-fitting and/or supplied air respirators (SAR)
- Must be and remain clean shaven at all times
- Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Pay Rate/Salary
- $27.50/hr. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
