Robotics-Enabled Line Operations Specialist
Your mission
Imagine stepping onto a highly automated production floor where robotic cells and smart equipment are ready to run. Your mission is to keep that ecosystem performing safely and within specification—so every part that leaves the line is on time, on cost, and on quality.
How you’ll make an impact
- Lead with safety—live the Safety Program, follow all policies, and report incidents or near misses without delay.
- Set the standard for 5S and housekeeping, including vehicle safety checks, to protect teammates and equipment.
- Operate and oversee multiple machines simultaneously; tune settings to prevent stoppages and cut waste.
- Inspect output, apply the quality protocol when defects occur, and make data‑driven adjustments.
- Record production activity through charts and logs; summarize rework and waste, and enter results into the quality database to support positive release.
- Use measuring and quality inspection devices to validate process capability.
- Partner with colleagues to propose and deliver process improvements; back continuous improvement teams focused on waste reduction and cost savings.
- Work to standards including the BRC Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP principles, ISO 14001, and OSHA rules.
- Contribute to the creation of SOPs and work instructions.
- Operate in proximity to advanced automation and robotics safely and effectively.
- Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities.
- Support SMA’s (trial runs) and assist with equipment installs, overhauls, and upgrades.
- Operate a forklift as needed and provide break relief.
- Embrace other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
- 2+ years in high‑volume manufacturing preferred.
- Effective communicator—both verbal and written.
- Team player with solid organization, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfort with basic computer and math to read drawings, review specs and work instructions, and report line performance.
- Willing to work all shifts (8 or 12 hours), including days, off‑shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and initiatives.
- Working knowledge of measuring devices.

Work environment and hazards
The production floor is very loud—hearing protection and assigned PPE are mandatory. Temperatures can vary from <40 degrees to >95 degrees, and the air may contain fumes, dust, and odors.
Hazards include mechanical and electrical risks from machinery; exposure to pinch points, cuts, burns, metal dust, and slivers; and daily work near hazardous and explosive chemicals.
