We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to oversee and ensure high-quality nursing care within a specialized healthcare project. This position is contingent on contract award and will support a repatriation initiative focused on providing comprehensive care for migrant individuals awaiting reunification or repatriation. Care services include initial screenings, exams, management of pre-existing conditions, and routine, urgent, and emergency medical care.

As the Director of Nursing, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care, managing nursing personnel, and ensuring compliance with all clinical and operational guidelines. Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Leadership:

Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient nursing care.

Monitor, audit, and evaluate the quality of nursing services provided.

Establish short- and long-term goals that align with the mission and values of the organization.

Direct nursing personnel in accordance with performance and contractual requirements.

Supervise the implementation of the Clinical Quality Assurance Plan and oversee the Medical Reception Department.

Ensure proper oversight of medical surveillance programs.

Assist in the review and credentialing of new nursing hires.

Personnel Management & Staffing:

Assess staffing needs and ensure adequate nurse-to-patient ratios.

Define roles and competencies for nursing positions.

Ensure efficient use of staff and resources while managing overtime needs.

Develop and implement in-service training and refresher courses for nursing staff.

Oversee professional development and create strategies for continuous learning.

Prepare training manuals and materials to support staff education.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed.

Assist in coordinating medical transfers to higher levels of care.

Leadership & Quality Assurance:

Maintain a strong presence and open communication with nursing staff.

Work collaboratively with medical personnel to establish and maintain high patient care standards.

Foster a positive workplace culture that supports teamwork and innovation.

Provide clinical leadership and act as a resource for staff.

Participate in department meetings and essential healthcare committees.

Identify and communicate department needs for medical equipment and supplies.

Promote continuous quality improvement by developing corrective action plans as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice.

Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience.

At least three (3) years of relevant management experience.

Minimum two (2) years of experience in an outpatient or clinical setting.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current).

Preferred:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.

Specialty certifications or advanced nursing education.

Experience working in military, government, or detention/migrant healthcare settings.

Knowledge of Joint Commission International (JCI) or JCAHO regulations.

Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily performed in an office or clinical setting.

Requires prolonged sitting and standing.

May involve bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Additional Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen or possess a Permanent Resident Card.

MRPT Clearance preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $80,000 - $160,000, based on experience, skills, and market alignment.

Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and an annual bonus.
