Travel Cath Lab RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (3 labs, newly renovated)
• Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401 – Virginia healthcare jobs
• Start Date: September 23, 2025
• End Date: December 23, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30), Monday–Friday with on-call requirements (weekends and holidays)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Cases per Day: 12–18
• Charting Systems: EPIC (preferred), XPER documentation
• Scrubs: Provided

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Active Virginia or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac or critical care nursing experience (Cath Lab RN or Interventional Radiology experience preferred)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• First-time travel nurses accepted

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Circulate, monitor, and scrub for cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist with advanced cardiac procedures including TAVR, Watchman, Cardiovems, carotids, Impella, CTO, peripherals, TEVAR/EVAR, STEMI, and more
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including technologists and other Registered Nurses
• Operate advanced equipment such as Philips rooms, Medrad, and manifold for injections
• Document patient care using EPIC and XPER systems
• Participate in on-call rotation including weekends and holidays
• Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions in clinical settings
