Environmental Scientist

LaBella is currently seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist with approximately 0 to 3 years of experience and staffed in Richmond, Virginia. The position will be in our Environmental Permitting and Compliance Group and will require someone who is willing to work on a variety of different tasks and projects simultaneously through Virginia and Maryland.

Duties:

• Fieldwork duties include, but are not limited to, wetland and stream delineations, habitat assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, and stormwater inspections.
• Ability to complete high quality technical reports.
• Ability to complete GIS mapping associated with fieldwork efforts.
• Willingness to travel throughout Virginia and Maryland for field work with senior field crew.
• Willingness to work on additional environmental tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 0 to 3 years of experience required/preferred.
• B.S. degree in Environmental, Biology, Ecology or related field of study.
• Travel for field work throughout Virginia and Maryland for field work with senior field crew.
• ArcPro or GIS experience, preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to complete high quality technical reports.
• Ability to complete GIS mapping associated with fieldwork efforts.
