Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Job Description
Join our procurement team at LEGO® as the Strategic Sourcing Specialist for Indirect Materials & Services (IM&S), a professional-level role responsible for supporting sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship activities across non-production categories crucial to our U.S. operations. IM&S includes office supplies, IT equipment and services, professional services, facilities management, travel, and other indirect categories that enable efficient business operations.
Core Responsibilities
In the role of Category Buyer – IM&S, your responsibilities will include:
Category & Strategy Support : Support the development and execution of category strategies for IM&S in alignment with procurement frameworks. Conduct market research and benchmarking to provide input into sourcing decisions and supplier selection. Support opportunities for efficiency, savings, and supplier innovation.
Procurement Execution : Lead day-to-day procurement processes including requirements gathering, supplier evaluation, negotiation support, and contracting. Process purchase orders, assist in supplier onboarding, and following policies and standards. Participate in tactical negotiations with counsel, applying foundational negotiation skills. Enforce procurement policies with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure compliance and alignment with company standards.
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) : Act as a point of contact for assigned suppliers, evaluating performance against cost, quality, and service expectations. Support supplier performance reviews and contribute to problem resolution and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery and alignment with business needs.
Collaboration : Work closely with IT, HR, Finance, Facilities, and other internal contributors to understand requirements. Communicate optimally to align sourcing activities with business objectives. Seek mentorship from senior colleagues or leadership on sophisticated issues while building confidence in independent decision-making. Act as a guide and first line of support for business partners navigating the procurement environment.
Value, Innovation & Compliance : Contribute to cost tracking, reporting, and analysis to support budgeting and transparency. Apply procurement systems and digital tools for day-to-day activities while seeking opportunities to build sophisticated capability. Support sustainability, compliance, and responsible sourcing practices in line with company standards.

You will partner with business collaborators to deliver competitive sourcing, supplier reliability, and compliance with procurement policies, making a significant impact on the overall efficiency of our operations.
Do you have what it takes
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
Procurement or sourcing experience, ideally in indirect categories
Familiarity with procurement practices covering sourcing, contracting, and supplier coordination
Basic negotiation skills with potential to develop into more sophisticated negotiations
Analytical approach with curiosity to learn and problem-solve
Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, or similar) is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, open to feedback and collaboration
Additional
We're pleased to share that we offer a hybrid working week arrangement called Best of Both , requiring 3 days in the office location and 2 days from home.
Some international travel, up to two times a year for Global Forums.
No Relocation will be offered for this position
Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $93,989.00 - $140,983.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
