Key Job Details – IR Registered Nurse Travel Contract

• Location: Richmond, VA 23298 – Access to leading healthcare facilities, diverse dining, cultural attractions, and beautiful parks along the James River.
• Healthcare Setting: Radiology Unit (MRI focus for both outpatient and inpatient care, serving adults and pediatric patients)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Monday–Friday)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call Requirement: None
• Potential to work holidays
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250–$2310

Qualifications – IR Registered Nurse

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging Radiology, Progressive Care, ICU, or Emergency Department nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to float within nursing scope as needed
• Two professional nursing references required
• Compliance with facility policies (natural nail policy, fingerprinting for ER/Psych candidates)

Responsibilities – Interventional Radiology Nurse

• Initiate IVs for MRI procedures and perform point-of-care testing (POCT)
• Review patient medications, vital signs, lab results, and medical history to ensure MRI safety
• Provide anesthesia preparation and phase 1 recovery in collaboration with anesthesia team
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate scans for ED and inpatient cases
• Ensure patient and staff safety in the MRI environment (MRI Full Stop training required)
• Respond rapidly to IV infiltration, contrast reactions, patient falls, and other safety events
• Deliver nursing care to a full spectrum of patients, from low acuity to high ICU acuity, including pediatric and adult populations
