As a Security Officer - Access Control Entry in King William, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access within a dynamic food and beverage production location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by remaining visible and approachable, responding quickly to concerns, and communicating clearly with everyone onsite. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and managing authorized entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in a food and beverage production environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with management and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns specific to a food and beverage setting.
• Document activities, observations, and incidents clearly and accurately in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and the requirements of the site.
• Collaborate with on-site staff and management to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment for daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in access control and/or badge procedures is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
