Position Overview:
Ofinno is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer – Team Lead to guide our Generative AI team in building next-generation internal platforms that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic frameworks to accelerate our research and intellectual property operations.

In this role, you will lead a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on in architecture and development. You will set technical direction, mentor junior team members, and ensure delivery of scalable, intelligent applications that integrate AI into the workflows of researchers, patent attorneys, and licensing professionals. For the right candidate, this position offers a growth path into a Director of AI Engineering role as the team expands.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer – Team Lead, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of GenAI engineers, fostering technical excellence and rapid iteration.
• Architect and oversee development of full-stack applications that optimize research and IP workflows.
• Guide the integration of LLMs into production systems for document generation, summarization, classification, semantic search, and agentic execution.
• Partner with research, IP, and executive stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, and deliver high-value solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for reliability, performance, and scalability across the stack.
• Contribute hands-on to critical design and implementation decisions, balancing leadership with coding.
• Shape the roadmap of Ofinno’s AI agent platform, including retrieval pipelines and semantic search capabilities.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including demonstrated leadership of projects or small teams.
• Strong expertise in back-end development (Python, Node.js, or Java) and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience deploying and scaling applications in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and elevate team performance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Track record of delivering production systems from concept to deployment.
