Market Manager (FT)

The Market Manager is a manager that leads the day-to-day activities of a Field Sales team and sales center stores in sales strategies to drive revenue and customer satisfaction to meet organizational objectives. This role will execute strategies to drive sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction within a geographic area to meet operational goals including annual sales, margin targets, and operating income.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Participate in sales calls with the Field Sales team member to supplement selling efforts.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales leadership to develop and manage sales forecasting and targets for the geography and field sales team members.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers with the geography and collaborate with Sales Representatives to address any needs or issues of key accounts.
- Conduct market analysis to understand local trends, competition, and customer behavior, using insights to adopt sales strategies and approaches to drive sales.
- Conduct regular sales team meetings to review performance, share updates, review best practices, and communicate organizational strategies.
- Serve as a point of contact for the Field Sales team to help resolve customer issues or concerns.
- Ensure the use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system by Field Sales team to manage customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.
- Monitor Field Sales team members’ selling techniques and customer interactions to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback on techniques, strategies, and tactics.
- Monitor geographical expense reporting to ensure adherence to budgets and company travel and expense policies.
- Achieves revenue, budget, and other business objectives for each fiscal year for assigned market.
- Develops and implements strategic plans to accommodate corporate goals in assigned market.
- Analyzes sales reports showing sales volumes, profit loss (EVA), and margins utilizing analytics tools.
- Ensures compliance with HR policies including hiring, firing, performance management, and DOT compliance.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 1-3 years of management experience.

- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

- This role will be responsible for direct reports.
- Travel required approximately 65% of the time.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
