What You’ll Do

• Recycle aluminum material by peeling protective film from large sheets and feeding them into a separator
• Support machine operators by organizing scrap, moving materials, and keeping production flowing
• Maintain a clean workspace by sweeping, removing debris, and assisting with basic machine cleaning
• Follow safety procedures including PPE use and lockout/tagout when required
• Operate pallet jacks and other light equipment
• Perform frequent physical tasks such as bending, lifting (30–50 lbs), climbing, and standing throughout the shift
• Participate in cross‑training to learn new machines and processes
• Take on additional duties as assigned to support reclaim and production operations

• Can bend, lift, climb, and stand for long periods
• Willing to work rotating 12‑hour shifts (day or night)

• Experience in general labor, warehouse, or production is helpful—but not required

Work Environment

• Non–climate‑controlled production facility with exposure to heat
• Work around large machinery and moving equipment
• Required PPE: steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection
• 12‑hour rotating schedule:
  • Days: 6:00 a.m.–6:15 p.m.
  • Nights: 6:00 p.m.–6:15 a.m.
  • 2‑2‑3 rotation (built‑in long weekends)
• Must be able to transition to night shift after training if assigned

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesapeake,VA.
