Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Responsibilities

The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) is the primary resource for information system and cybersecurity matters.

• Provides technical, programmatic, and Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) support. Ensures the up-to-date development and implementation of information security policy, requirements, and procedures within an organization’s business processes.
• Reviews documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as Risk Management Framework.
• Implements customer security requirements within an organization’s business processes ensuring the applications are ready for the A&A process.
• Helps the Teams to develop the A&A documentation.
• Develops and completes system security plans and contingency plans.
• May recommend system enhancements to improve cybersecurity posture.
• Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance
• BA/BS and 8+ years of experience; Masters and 6+ years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Candidate shall demonstrate strong experience with customer's Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
• Candidate will have accreditation tool experience including Green Light.
• Candidate demonstrates strong understanding of Customer Cyber Security Policies.
• Candidate demonstrates strong communication skills.
• Candidate demonstrates experience working with and across teams and handling multiple projects at once.
• Candidate demonstrates understanding of strong security practices and working with Security Officers.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
