Residential & Light Commercial HVAC Service Specialist
A day in the life
You start your morning in the Lynchburg area, review the day’s schedule, and head to residential and light-commercial sites to keep comfort systems running at their best. Some calls are preventive tune-ups and inspections; others demand sharp diagnostics to isolate a mechanical or electrical issue. You follow local codes, make clean, precise repairs or installations, and wrap each visit with clear documentation and a satisfied customer.

What you’ll do
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems in residential and light-commercial settings
- Perform routine maintenance and comprehensive system inspections
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and recommend solutions
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and local codes
- Complete service tickets and documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience as an HVAC Technician or HVAC Installer
- Working knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- EPA certification preferred
- Ability to read basic schematics and follow technical instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Professional communication and customer service skills
Pay and schedule
$18–$26 per hour, based on skills and experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with opportunities for overtime.
