Manager, Women on Target (WOT) Program

SUMMARY: Responsible for the promotion, management and administration of the NRA Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinics program, as well as the development and implementation of a female instructors program. Knowledge of and support for the mission of the National Rifle Association.

ESSSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the development, planning and implementation of the NRA Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinics program. Tasked with expanding the number of Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinics being conducted annually to validate program growth impacting the number of clubs providing clinics and the number of women participating in the programs.
2. Responsible for the promotion of Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinics program via written articles, workshops, newsletter and the dissemination of program information to supporting NRA Divisions thru the National Manager, Community Outreach to include Public Affairs and Publications.
3. Responsible for the development, implementation and conduct of Female Instructor Development Workshops, with specific emphasis on conducting such an event at NRA's Annual Meeting. Selection and supervision of NRA staff thru the National Manager, Community Outreach in selecting volunteers who participate in these Instructor Development Workshops.
4. Responsible for coordinated support of club appointed Field Clinic Directors by providing sufficient information and staff guidance to ensure all Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinics are conducted in program compliance and meet NRA standards. Provide annual recognition and appreciation awards for Clinic Directors in a timely manner.
5. Responsible for performing impact evaluations on current programs and projects and recommend changes, improvements or alterations that yield improved program quality and administrative efficiency to be reported to the National Manager, Community Outreach on an as needed basis.
6. Responsible for fulfilling requested support material orders thru the in-house ordering system. Oversee support material inventory levels sufficient to maintain a continuing, uninterrupted flow in an accurate and timely manner and revise written materials as needed. Responsible for drafting purchase orders to be sent thru appropriate division channels for ordering materials as needed.
7. Respond promptly to all incoming communication [telephone, e-mail, voice mail, faxes, letters, etc.] and maintain correct and current program information on all appropriate NRA websites.
8. Maintain, in an accurate and timely manner, program databases that yield viable management reports, maintain financial accounting records sufficient to prepare an annual program budget in an accurate and timely manner.
9. Perform all duties and responsibilities required as the Secretary of the NRA Women's Programs Committee. Coordinate with the NRA Office of the Secretary and the leadership of appropriate Division(s) in the implementation, direction and development of Women's Programs.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Frequent interactions with NRA staff, NRA members, volunteers, women's groups and the general public. Moderate local and national travel required. Occasional weekend work required. Position functions in a fast paced, detail-oriented and time-sensitive work environment with minimal direct supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College degree preferred. Broad knowledge of firearms, shooting sports and club dynamics required. Strong background in volunteerism and/or management of volunteers desired. Salary budgeted at 58,500/year

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Public relations and customer service skills required. NRA Instructor Certification or willingness to obtain certification required. Excellent oral and written communications skills required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused on the task at hand essential. Strong analytical and effective organizational skills required. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines essential. Ability to motivate and supervise volunteer support staff required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a member of a team required.
