Job Title: Assembler (Manufacturing)

Location: Richmond, VA 23237

Job Type: Contract (3 Months)

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary

Is seeking motivated Assemblers to join its manufacturing team in Richmond, VA. This is an entry-level position responsible for measuring, cutting, and assembling wood components used in refrigeration cases and sub-assemblies. Candidates with carpentry, woodworking, construction, or house-building experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble refrigeration cases and sub-assemblies according to work orders.

Measure and cut wood accurately using tape measures and saws.

Assemble wood components using hand and power tools.

Read and interpret work orders, assembly instructions, and production drawings.

Identify and organize parts required for each assembly.

Fasten components using screws, staples, nails, rivets, and other hardware.

Operate safely while maintaining quality and production standards.

Work at different assembly stations as production needs require.

Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.

Tape Measure

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred.

Carpentry, woodworking, framing, cabinet making, construction, or house-building experience is a strong plus.

Ability to read tape measures and use measuring tools accurately.

Comfortable using hand and power tools.

Ability to lift, stand, bend, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
