As a Security Officer Patrol Communications in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic commercial real estate location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support daily access awareness and contribute to a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and around the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and building activity, report maintenance or security-related concerns, and communicate with property management and/or public responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess access control or badge experience preferred.
• Possess customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
