Master Mechanic

Job Title: HVAC Mechanic

Pay Rate: Open to Both C2C and W2 options
Position Type: Multiyear Contract

This role is for a highly experienced, licensed HVAC/mechanical technician who can work independently, handle complex system issues, and serve as a technical lead for facility mechanical operations). This is a long term contracting position located in Vienna, VA. Candidates will work Monday through Friday onsite. Candidates must be able to pass both a credit and criminal background check.

The position requires a licensed HVAC professional (Journeyman or Master in Virginia) with strong experience in commercial mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration. The selected candidate will:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and maintenance
• Oversee mechanical operations
• Ensure systems comply with state and local codes
• Act as a go-to technical expert for mechanical systems, especially in urgent situations

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite mechanical maintenance and repairs for HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems in Vienna, VA.
• Manage and oversee mechanical operations, ensuring compliance with safety and mechanical codes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across a range of mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to state and local mechanical codes and standards.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical systems.
• VA HVAC Journeyman or Master License required.
• Strong technical skills in mechanical system maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration.
• Experience managing mechanical operations in a commercial setting.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of state and local mechanical codes.
