Position Overview:
NS2 Mission is actively seeking a highly qualified DevOps Engineerto design, build, and deploy highly scalable, resilient, and high-performing cloud-based microservices. The ideal candidate will join an integrated team focused on advancing the Sponsor’s DevOps capabilities. This role involves automating repetitive tasks, reducing manual processes, and enhancing the overall reliability, quality, and user experience of software products.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable cloud-based microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the DevOps posture through automation and streamlined development workflows.
• Improve software delivery through modern DevOps practices, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Develop and support infrastructure as code solutions.
• Ensure high system availability, performance, and security through monitoring, testing, and optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent to five (5) years of specialized experience).
• Minimum of five (5) yearsof hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and cloud-based software development.
• Three (3) yearsof experience developing microservices using AWS services such as:
  • API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, SQS, S3, EC2, RDS, SNS, Secrets Manager, KMS, ECR, EKS, Kinesis.

• Proven experience with:

  • Distributed cross-platform applications, orchestration, and security.

  • Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Jira).

  • DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automated testing/deployment.

• Strong background in:

  • Automation testing, unit/integration testing, code review, code profiling.

  • Java development and scripting (e.g., Servlets, Hibernate, Spring, UI Frameworks, J2EE).

  • NoSQL and/or relational databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server).

  • CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform).

  • Data analysis methodologies.

  • Client-side technologies (Java, Swing, EXT JS, JSP/HTML).

  • Windows and Linux environments.

  • Web server technologies (Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS).

  • Containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).

  • Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Alertmanager).

  • DevOps and release engineering processes.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a backend or full stack developer.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and MongoDB.
• Experience managing source code and version control systems.
• In-depth understanding of cloud architecture and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with:Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • SonarQube configuration and maintenance.
  • Spring Framework, Gradle, Maven.
  • Building and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
  • Helm for microservice deployment.
  • GitOps tools like Argo CD.
  • CNCF technologies (e.g., Keycloak).
• Ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
