Technical Writer
Location: Onsite – Alexandria, VA
Clearance: Active Secret (or higher) required
Overview:
Seeking a Technical Writer to develop clear, concise documentation, training materials, and deployment guides. Role involves translating complex technical information into content accessible to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and compile information from multiple sources
- Work closely with technical staff to interpret and translate content
- Create and edit technical documents, manuals, diagrams, and graphics
- Provide recommendations on documentation format and communication strategies
- Assist with design and development of illustrations and media (audio/video), ideally using Adobe Captivate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years in technical writing, editing, and documentation
- Familiarity with technical style guides and formatting
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings
- Skilled in graphic/media tools; SharePoint admin experience is a plus
- Prior work with government organizations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and collaborative skills
