Job Overview:
Jobot Health is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Roanoke, Virginia. This is an immediate need role with emergency privileges available and low-volume call coverage support.
Job Details:
- Start: Immediate need
- Call Coverage: 24-hour call for Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Emergency Department (ED)
- Role Structure: Provider acts as second call behind midwife
- Call Location: Hotel-based call (approx. 2 miles from hospital)
- Volumes: Low volume setting
- Clinical Support: Pediatrician available for deliveries; in-house anesthesia available
- No scheduled cases
- No circumcisions
- ER backup responsibilities
Facility Details:
- 100-bed acute care hospital
- Emergency privileges available
- Primary L&D coverage provided by experienced CNMs
- Newly renovated clinic with in-house ultrasound and lab
- Remote and onsite consultation with UVA MFM service (2x per month)
- daVinci® Surgical System available
- Level II NICU with neonatal transport (1-hour access)
