REHAU Building Solutions is a leading international polymer manufacturer. We are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Director of Procurement to lead procurement and sourcing initiatives for the Americas region. This is a high-impact, strategically focused leadership role responsible for creating long-term value through smart sourcing, supplier innovation, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration aligned with business objectives.
Mission and Overall Target of the Job
Drive cost savings, supplier innovation, and operational excellence through strategic sourcing, vendor management, and alignment with global procurement and finance objectives. This role also supports internal controls and ensures regulatory compliance, including oversight of related financial operations such as Accounts Payable.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a strategic procurement roadmap that supports long-term business goals, enhances operational efficiency, and optimizes total cost of ownership.
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for regional and local needs, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Lead Cost Management & Optimization, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and supply chain continuity and stability.
- Manage key supplier relationships and lead escalations, negotiations, and performance reviews.
- Monitor procurement metrics, drive cost savings, and ensure sourcing pipelines contributes to financial goals.
- Coach, mentor, and build talent within the procurement team to support growth and innovation.
- Drive adherence to sustainability, health & safety, and procurement compliance standards.
- Champion collaboration across R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Operations, and global procurement to drive alignment and business impact.
- Drive Technology & Process Improvement, utilizing procurement technologies (e.g., ERP systems) to streamline operations, increase visibility, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee Risk Management, identifying supply chain risks (e.g., geopolitical, financial, environmental) and developing contingency plans.
Education
Education: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related economic/technical field.
Experience: 10+ years in procurement, with proven leadership in regional procurement environments.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling strategic procurement and/or supply chain functions during high-growth phases.
- Strong expertise in supplier negotiations, market analysis, risk mitigation, and contract management.
- Deep understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in procurement technologies and analytics.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with experience in cross-functional and executive-level communication.
- Strong understanding of sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes.

- Compliance with sustainability, procurement systems, and audit requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, experience, and geographic location. Total compensation may also include bonuses consistent with REHAU’s corporate bonus plan.
