SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER (ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED)

NorthHill Technology Resources has openings for Site Reliability Engineers to support a Federal Program at LangleyAir Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. This is a direct-hire role with our client, a growing Federal Integrator. It is a hybrid role, onsite 2 days per week. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required, an active DOD Secret Clearance is highly preferred. seeks a Site Reliability Engineer in Langley, VA, focused on ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of multi-tenant, microservices-based applications critical to national security missions. You will collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to optimize Kubernetes environments, CI/CD pipelines, and observability frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, Elastic), proactively responding to incidents, automating recovery processes, and enhancing system resilience. Qualified candidates have 6+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering roles; proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, Java, Bash); and expertise with Kubernetes, microservices architectures, observability tools, and incident management. Candidates must hold or obtain SEC+ certification within six months, be willing to perform shift work for 24/7/365 coverage, and reside within 45 minutes of an IL6 facility. Experience with AWS cloud platforms, databases (PostgreSQL), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and advanced degrees are strongly preferred. Onsite at Langley AFB
