Administrative Technician (Records)
: Introduction
PWC Police Records Administrative Technician is responsible for processing critical administrative tasks and projects supporting the Police Department and Community Members. This position consists of learning and executing critical, confidential Records related procedures and processes that serve internal Units and external Agencies. Admin Techs must demonstrate the ability to provide excellent customer service and partnering skills. Organizational skills, attention to detail, processing complex procedures accurately, understanding certain State statutes related Records retention are key. This incumbent will be able to work effectively in a large team as well as independently. About This Role: The incumbent must be skilled in Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, data entry experience, and the ability to analyze data to execute relative procedures. This role is trained on every aspect of processing Police records including the front desk, processing police incident reports in compliance with NIBRS, processing crash and incident report requests, processing arrests, executing Court ordered expungements. The ability to serve the public face-to-face, phone and email with excellent customer service and communication skills are required including financial transactions on a cash register. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, excellent Customer Service skills; verbal and writing communication skills, cash handling. Ability to physically serve community members at a public facing Front Desk counter; requires getting up and down from a desk chair and walking. Preferences: Experience with Motorola P1 RMS System, knowledge of NIBRS, VCIN certification Special Requirements: The incumbent will be assigned within Records where needed depending on priorities and workloads of the Department. The ability to pass a VCIN examination if not already certified. The ability to pass a police background check. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0800-1600 in the office. Starting Salary Range: $20.62/hr. - $28.63/hr.
