Job Summary:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives, both at home and in the community. Responsibilities include personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, and support with social and recreational activities. DSPs play a crucial role in promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for the individuals they support.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED required
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must own a reliable vehicle with valid car insurance
Must pass a background check
Previous experience in caregiving, support work, or a related field is preferred but not required
Ability to complete paid training successfully

Key Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Support individuals in meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a clean living environment
Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community activities
Engage individuals in recreational and social activities to promote independence and well-being
Follow care plans and behavioral support strategies as outlined by supervisors
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any behavioral changes
Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for individuals receiving care
Administer basic first aid and follow emergency protocols when necessary

Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of intellectual and developmental disabilities and related support strategies
Ability to follow care plans and adhere to company policies and procedures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Patience, compassion, and a commitment to providing high-quality care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic math skills and record-keeping abilities

Work Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time and part-time shifts available
Paid training provided
Competitive pay: $19 per hour
