The Opportunity

This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. This position will be out of our existing Altavista Distribution Center. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On

• Receive incoming goods, check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.

• Pick order, pack, receive, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.

• Ensure proper routing of materials is maintained while transporting the materials between departments.

• Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock and inventory records.

• Retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on stock transfer, inventory levels or delivery schedules).

• Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization’s established procedures.

• These activities may include updating stock cards and inventory records, and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

The base pay for this position is $17.15 – $34.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
