Senior Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a dynamic and growing residential real estate and property management business. With extensive experience in buying, renovating, and managing properties, the team continues to expand and thrive in the Richmond market.

Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in recording, reconciling, and auditing financial data while partnering with accounting staff and leadership. This position requires someone who can efficiently manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and provide valuable insights through financial reporting and analysis. The role will also collaborate with accounting professionals across multiple divisions of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform invoice entry and processing.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trend and performance analysis.

• Review reports for accuracy, benchmarks, and metrics.

• Prepare balance sheets and quarterly reports.

• Conduct month-end reconciliations.

• Partner with business units to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Collaborate directly with senior leadership on financial matters.

• Support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications – Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Experience with reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.

• Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines.
