Job Details – CT/Rad Tech Locum Tenens Position

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Location: Roanoke, VA 24014 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Diagnostic & Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 4x10-hour days (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM), rotating day off
• Call: 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts every 6 weeks; 30-min call back time; one Saturday shift every 6 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2620-$2690
• Patient Population: Adults (young, middle, and older adults)
• Charting System: Epic

Qualifications – CT/Rad Tech Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, CT Technologist, or Radiologic Technologist
• Active ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification or RCIS/CCI certification
• Current Virginia state license or eligibility for 90-day authorization with another state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Interventional radiology or critical care experience preferred
• Current RTT or RTR status preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities – CT/Rad Tech Travel Job

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including:
  • Adult Diagnostic Catheterizations
  • Coronary Athrectomy, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion
  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), PTCA
  • Rotablader Athrectomy, Orbital Athrectomy
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR)
  • Left Atrial Appendage Closures, ASD & PFO Closures, Mitral Clips
  • Renal Angiography and Renal Artery Stent Placement
• Monitor patients and equipment during procedures to ensure safety and accuracy
• Set up and operate specialized cath lab equipment (e.g., Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, Laser, OCT, IVUS)
• Maintain sterile field and assist with scrub duties as needed
• Document procedures and patient data using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in call rotation and provide coverage for elective cases on scheduled Saturdays
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols
