Job Description

The Warehouse Receiving Associate at Hot & Cold Supply is responsible for efficiently receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments. This role ensures inventory accuracy and supports smooth warehouse operations through proper handling, documentation, and storage of materials. This person also assists the warehouse in general maintenance and reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

· Unload and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders.

· Accurately verify packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders against physical inventory.

· Use Point of Sales software to record received goods.

· Label, tag, and stage materials in designated storage areas following company procedures.

· Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the Warehouse Supervisor or Purchasing team.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with safety guidelines.

· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as needed.

· Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and other warehouse duties as assigned.

· Handle shipping of products to out of local delivery range customers

· Use UPS WorldShip software to ship goods via ups

· Arrange order or package pickup via FedEx, UPS, USPS

· Ensure product received is grouped with corresponding tickets

· Handle return shipments to manufacturers

· Interact with accounts receivable daily to hand off received POs

· Ensure received products make it to designated areas (i.e. Production, warehouse manager, counter)

Skills, Qualifications, and Work Environment:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.

· Experience in plumbing industry preferred

· Basic computer literacy; familiarity with inventory software is a plus.

· Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Employees must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, and a forklifts)
• Frequent bending, lifting, twisting and grasping.
• May be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.

This is a full-time hourly position-based Monday through Friday. Hourly pay will be discussed at the time of an interview and based upon employee qualifications.
