Compensation Range: $44-$49/hour W2
Job Description:
The IT Systems Engineer will support and maintain on-prem data center infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and operational stability in a highly regulated environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Support data center operations including racking, stacking, and hardware troubleshooting
-
Maintain and patch Linux and Windows operating systems
-
Manage Active Directory and core system services
-
Support network-related operational controls (firewalls, F5, protocols)

Troubleshoot infrastructure outages and performance issues
-
Participate in routine data center visits, especially during onboarding
-
Collaborate with a small engineering team to support high-performance environments
Requirements:

Must-Haves:

5 years of IT systems or data center engineering experience
-
Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

Strong Active Directory knowledge

Experience supporting on-prem data center environments

Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols

Engineering mindset with strong troubleshooting skills

Willingness to learn, adapt, and be flexible in a dynamic environment

Nice-to-Haves:

Background in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries

Experience with F5 or firewall operational support

Experience in smaller or startup-like technical environments
