Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional installations, maintenance, repair, and technical support across our product line of Industrial bakery equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal operation of Koenig Machines all across the country. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about technical service, with a focus on fieldwork and hands-on problem solving.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of machines to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
• Troubleshoot malfunctions using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including machine calibrations, lubrication, and component adjustments to prevent future failures
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Install new Machines
• Maintain accurate service records detailing work performed, parts used, and machine conditions for each job
• Collaborate with clients to explain repairs needed and provide guidance on machine operation, maintenance, and sanitation best practices
• Travel to job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues using tools like multimeters to diagnose wiring problems or component failures

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrates mechanical knowledge with the willingness to learn to read schematics and interpret technical manuals accurately
• Ability to handle heavy workload 50lbs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills for use of Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools that requires mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Eligible and able to get documentation for international travel
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Eligible to rent cars
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to explain technical issues clearly to clients
