We’re seeking an outgoing and professional Right-of-Way Specialist to join our Central Virginia team. In this role, you’ll negotiate land rights and property acquisitions for public improvement projects, review title reports and engineering plans, and ensure project files and reports are accurate and complete. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of real property acquisition, real estate law, and negotiation practices, along with a balance of office and field experience.

Requirements include but are not limited or restricted to:
•\tHigh school diploma or equivalent
•\tA designation or certification with the International Right of Way Association or equivalent experience and
training in the field of right of way acquisition.
•\tValid driver’s license, safe driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
•\tAvailable to work a limited number of evenings and weekends in order to meet with the public and private
property owners.
•\tExperience in real estate acquisitions related to public improvement projects.
•\tEducation or experience related to one or more of the following: real estate, appraisals, property title
research, real estate law, land use and development, or civil engineering design.
•\tFamiliarity with construction plans and plats for projects including highways, sewers, and utilities.
•\tGood computer skills, with effective working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs.
•\tAbility to successfully pass all pre-employment screening.
•\tAbility to analyze information, evaluate results, and implement the best solution to solve problems or
challenges.
•\tDetail oriented, with the ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced,
team approach environment
