We are looking for an HR Recruiter to support staffing efforts in Virginia through a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This position is ideal for someone who can manage the full recruitment lifecycle, communicate roles clearly to candidates, and stay organized throughout a recruitment process that may take time to complete. The right person will be self-directed, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver consistent results while building a long-term career path with the team.
Responsibilities:• Manage end-to-end recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the recruitment process.
• Develop candidate pipelines for roles within trucking, transportation, or closely related industries, with the ability to adapt recruiting strategies to market conditions.
• Present job opportunities to prospective candidates in a clear and compelling way to improve engagement and interest.
• Maintain a steady pace by generating an average of five new team members or recruit conversions each week.
• Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate follow-up, and status updates while ensuring a positive and detail-oriented applicant experience.
• Keep applicant tracking records accurate and up to date within recruiting systems and similar ATS platforms.
• Work independently to prioritize openings, manage activity levels, and meet staffing expectations without close supervision.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand role needs, align on candidate profiles, and support decision-making throughout the recruitment cycle.
• Background working in trucking, transportation, logistics, or other related industries is required, At least 1 year of experience in full cycle recruiting, corporate recruiting, or talent acquisition is preferred
• Ability to conduct candidate interviews and evaluate qualifications against job requirements.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems and general recruiting platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-moving hiring environment.
• Patience and persistence in managing longer hiring timelines while keeping candidates engaged.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain positions effectively to a range of candidates.
• A results-driven and self-managed work style with interest in a long-term opportunity.
