Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)
Join a collaborative MEP consulting team delivering innovative K-12, municipal, commercial, government, and mission-critical projects. This is an opportunity to lead HVAC design, mentor engineers, and manage projects from concept through construction while working on complex, high-impact facilities.
What You'll Do
- Lead HVAC and mechanical system design, including calculations, equipment selection, and construction documents.
- Manage projects from planning through construction administration, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule goals are met.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
- Oversee bidding support, RFIs, submittals, commissioning activities, and field coordination.
- Mentor junior engineers, perform quality reviews, and provide technical leadership across projects.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of HVAC design experience in an MEP consulting environment.
- PE license (or ability to obtain Virginia licensure immediately).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience with K-12, commercial, municipal, government, healthcare, or data center projects is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
