Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Details

• Location: Richmond, VA 23225 (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab (3 labs, 10-11 clinical staff daily)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour days (07:00–17:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,450 - $2,510 per week
• On Call: Weekdays and weekends (must report within 30 minutes of call-back)
• Dress Code: Light blue scrubs provided by hospital

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab
• Experience with GE X-ray/MacLab equipment preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT (Radiologic Technologist) certification is a plus
• Strong clinical skills in high-volume, fast-paced cath lab environments
• Professionalism, reliability, and excellent attendance required

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Support advanced procedures including Impella, balloon-pump, peripheral cases, and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs)
• Occasionally assist with cardiac device placements
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, cardiovascular technologists, and physicians
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude in a busy clinical environment
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and unit guidelines
