Connect Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee home renovation and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, with proficiency in both renovation and new construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standards. In addition, the Superintendent should possess knowledge of light electrical and plumbing work to effectively oversee these aspects of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

- Oversee multiple home renovation and construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed efficiently and within budget.

- Develop detailed project schedules, including timelines and milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.

- Coordinate with subcontractors and material deliveries to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.

- Procure necessary permits, licenses, and inspections to comply with local regulations.

2. Construction Oversight:

- Supervise and provide guidance to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project plans.

- Conduct regular on-site inspections to monitor progress, identify and address any issues or deviations, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

- Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to guide construction activities.

3. Budgeting and Cost Control:

- Collaborate with the project management team to develop project budgets and effectively manage costs throughout the construction process.

- Monitor expenses, track project expenditures, and implement strategies to control costs without compromising quality or timelines.

- Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual agreements.

4. Light Electrical and Plumbing:

- Possess knowledge and experience in light electrical and plumbing work to oversee and guide related activities during the construction process.

- Collaborate with electricians and plumbers to ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.

- Address any electrical or plumbing-related issues that arise during the construction process, seeking appropriate solutions while maintaining project timelines.

5. Communication and Documentation:

- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, subcontractors, and team members, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or inquiries.

- Document project progress, changes, and any incidents or delays, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction, including renovation and new construction projects.

- Strong knowledge and experience in light electrical and plumbing work for times when self-performed work is needed and project oversight.

- Proven track record in project management, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.

- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
